We are passionate about our animals and put a lot of work into our website, listings and sales in general. When a purchase is made on Bourboncityexotics.com, 25% shall be considered a non-refundable deposit. If canceled in the first 24 hours, I will refund in full. Shipping is also non-refundable once shipped. Unfortunately in this business, we have to implement this because we incur fees via our website and payment processing center, any time a sale is made OR refunded. Please do not make a purchase unless you are 100% sure. Once the dragon is shipped, our return and refund policy takes effect.
SHIPPING, RETURNS AND REFUNDS
Shipping
Shipping will take place on Mondays (Tuesday delivery), Tuesdays (Wednesday delivery) or Wednesday (Thursday delivery). WE WILL NOT EVER SHIP ON A THURSDAY-SUNDAY!! SHIPPING WILL BE TO A FEDEX/UPS HUB NEAR YOU ONLY to ensure the animals safety. FedEx has had a lot of delays recently with shipping to people's homes so this is for the dragons safety and well being which is my TOP priority.
Shipping cost is NOT refundable once shipped. For dragons that have shipping included, I will deduct actual cost to ship your dragon for refund cases. If something happens to the package during delivery, we will seek a refund from FedEx. We insure all of our packages, and once (if) awarded the refund, we will refund to you. Any information I receive, I will share with you in a TIMELY MANNER.
Live arrival and health guarantee is void if you choose to ship to your home instead of a FedEx/UPS hub and you acknowledge that your package will likely be delayed by FedEx, which is out of my hands. If it is too hot or too cold, I’d rather lose your sale than have my dragons stuck on the truck for delivery.
YOU MUST CONTACT ME FIRST TO VOID YOUR LIVE ARRIVAL GUARANTEE AND OPT TO HAVE YOUR DRAGON SHIPPED SOMEWHERE OTHER THAN A FEDEX/UPS HUB.
In cases where we've discussed shipping to your home is the safest option or most viable, live arrival guarantee will still be applicable.
If dragon is DOA once retrieved from FedEx/UPS hub or at home, I must be notified within 1 hour of package being received (FEDEX time stamps when you pick up the package). You must record the package being opened (or at least you must keep the packaging for us to have the live arrival insurance verified) and clearly show the animal is DOA. The package must be kept and the deceased animal must be kept (in the freezer is what I recommend) for up to 30 days! I have the right to refuse any returns or refunds if I feel I'm being lied to or deceived in any way.
We will not ship in weather with a high lower than 38 degrees Fahrenheit or high above 98 degrees Fahrenheit. If you purchase a dragon in the peak of winter or during a cold front, or during the peak of summer or during a heat wave, please be aware we will not ship until weather is appropriate and can be arranged safely!
Returns/Refunds
No returns accepted for gender or any other reason unless we deem it necessary. We do our best to predict gender but some babies show sooner than others. If you experience DOA and I am notified within 1 hour of delivery, and it is accepted as viable DOA, I will reissue a new dragon of equal or higher value. No refunds unless I decide it's a better option.
YOU HAVE 24 (TWENTY FOUR) HOURS TO CANCEL AFTER PLACING AN ORDER FOR A FULL REFUND UNLESS I’VE ALREADY SHIPPED.
If you are having trouble with your dragon, I will help! Reach out via email/Instagram and I will walk you through problem solving. Please remember these are reptiles, and each one has it's own personality. Not all of them will enjoy being held every day, if all all. They do go through different phases at different ages. Some like being held their entire life, some hate it between the age of 4 months to a year old. Some never like it. If they are biting at you during feeding, use tongs and always respect your dragon. I do not refund for lack of bonding or accept returns! I will not consider swapping dragons for contamination reasons and stress of shipping. If you are having health concerns, please read about our 30 day health guarantee!
Parasites are common in bearded dragons. I will not and can not cover any vet bills that you incurred due to treating parasites. I do not treat ANY babies before they leave because small dragons who are eating well do not need it. If they stop eating for any reason or have runny poop for a week straight, contact a vet and request a fecal exam. A good vet will tell you what to treat the dragon with if they need it. Again they are very common so they can naturally carry parasites with no health impacts so only treat when they truly need it!
There’s Nothing Friendly About Chargeback Fraud!
Chargeback fraud occurs when cardholders dispute a transaction with the bank instead of contacting the merchant for a refund. This can cover unintentional “friendly” fraud, as well as deliberate abuse of the chargeback process.
We do not refund for buyers remorse but if you request to cancel before we ship, we will accept your request to cancel your purchase, but 50% is non-refundable (unless canceled within 24 hours of the purchase) due to fees we incur for refunding and relisting and marketing loss. Please be sure the dragon you purchase is the one you want! Deposits ARE transferable for up to a year!
If you file a chargeback via your bank or credit card stating we are fraud and it is proven that it was not fraud, your order will be canceled and any fees incurred due to your decision to falsely report your transaction as fraud will be subtracted from the 50% you will be refunded. Please reach out to us before making false claims to your bank as these greatly affect our entire business and the validity of our small business. We will rightfully fight fraudulent chargebacks and will charge a 25% fee (25% of the 50% refund) which will be considered a fraudulent chargeback fee because we receive fees when you make fraudulent chargeback requests and also may face losing the option to offer credit card usage to future customers. We can take customers to court over fraudulent chargebacks, and many jurisdictions will pursue criminal charges for chargeback-related fraud.
Once first payment is made for a payment plan, you have up to 4 weeks from date of first payment (28 calendar days) to make the remainder of payments. There is no specific amount due weekly as long as remainder is paid by the end of the 28 days. If remainder is not paid in full after 28 calendar days, you (the customer) forfeit the deposit unless we receive written confirmation that you wish to transfer the deposit for future use in which you have 1 year to use the deposit before you forfeit it entirely. We must give you written confirmation if you decide not to move forward with the purchase after making a deposit on a payment plan. To get written confirmation, you must write us an email stating do you not wish to go forward with your purchase within the 28 day payment period.

WARRANTY INFORMATION
We offer a LIVE ARRIVAL GUARENTEE for all reptiles as long as you don't waive your right to this by opting out and having your dragon shipped to your home instead of your local Fed-Ex hub.
We also offer a 1 month health guarantee that protects against genetic issues that are diagnosed by a veterinarian for all reptiles produced by us "Roten Exotics". Proof must be provided by your vet within 30 calendar days of purchase. If genetic disorder is present, we will provide a credit for our store for the exact amount paid for the dragon, minus shipping fees. Buyer must pay shipping fees for new dragon or pick up locally. Any parasites infections or temperment issues are not covered. Only genetic issues are covered for 30 days! This is because we cannot guarantee your husbandry once the dragon is in your care and the stress of shipping can naturally cause a parasitic flare! The best way to keep this from happening is to offer your dragon 1 week with no handling when it arrives to give it time to acclimate!
The 1 month health guarantee does not cover third party dragons that we did not produce. We will make buyer aware if the dragon they are purchasing was not produced here by notating it in the description of that reptile.

Shipping: We ship Tuesdays and Wednesdays (and also Mondays during certain weather periods) for next day delivery using FedEx Priority Overnight. We offer 100% insured live arrival guaranteed delivery to the FedEx hub that is closest to you. Shipping to your home is an option if you work from home and the weather is ideal! FedEx one day delays are common with priority overnight, so shipping to the hub to avoid any prolonged delays is advisable, but not always required. I package all dragons very well and with their 100% safety in mind.
UPDATE: Starting July 2025, we can also offer shipping via UPS priority overnight to your closest UPS hub!

To ensure every customer has access to high end dragons, we do offer holds with a $50 deposit which lasts up to 4 weeks. This will give you time to get everything set up and spread out payments if you need to. Our website also offers paypal payment plans as well as afterpay (pending approval via that platform). As of July 2025, I no longer offer personalized payment plans due tp customers abuse of it. If you would like to switch dragons after already making a deposit, you must pay in full at the time of the request to switch to be eligible. Anyone who doesn’t complete full payment within the 4 week window will forfeit their $50 deposit. I do accept tips via the payment links which are simply your contribution to feeding and housing costs for your dragon while I am holding it for you. It is NOT a requirement but greatly appreciated!

Every dragon is different and depending on each individual dragon, diet needs will vary slightly. For reference, I am not talking about breeder females here.
Dragons between 10-100 grams should get 10-20 bugs a day (dusted in calcium 5 days a week)
You will slowly taper off as they grow - adults eat 10-20 bugs one to 2 times every 10 days instead of daily
Dubia Roaches, Mealworms, Superworms, BSFL, and Repashy are my staple feeders
You always offer fresh greens daily! -arugula, turnip, collard or mustard greens, and always offer greens before bugs. I recommend offering greens then not offering bugs for at least 1 hour after putting greens in the tank. The smaller the dragon, the less greens they need. You will increase their ‘salad’ size as they age and grow.
Feed fruits/treats/hornworms sparingly

The MOST IMPORTANT things are t5 UVB (arcadia 12% is my go to) and of course an appropriate heating bulb for your tank. You will need a heat gun to accurately gage that you have the correct wattage for your setup!

I do base my pricing based on quality and rareness. When I say quality, I mean I spend every single day catering to these babies! I avoid nips as much as humanly possible. I will sometimes discount for nips but if its a very rare dragon, or something I wouldn't mind keeping, then you may not see much of a discount, if one at all. Nips are the most common injury and can happen from shed getting stuck (especially on small dragons) on toes or the tail tip, or from an aggressive clutch mate (who will be separated immediately if identified as the aggressor!). How many are currently available "on the market" and the quality of those animals compared to mine, is always taken into consideration. The amount of visual genetics shown do play a role in cost as well. A hypo dunner zero will cost more than a hypo zero because that combination is rare compared to a hypo zero that isn't a dunner. A rare colored dragon that is extreme in either direction (light or dark) will also likely cost more. The rarest dragons would be paradox, partial masked zeros, barbatas, and high colored witblits. Then following that would be new genes, high colored anything, or really dark dragons.
I have to spend thousands on feeders and electricity to raise these babies properly and that is also something to consider in pricing. The larger they get, the more they may cost.
